Cristiano Castelfranchi is senior researcher at CNR, Italy. He teaches Artificial Intelligence at the University of Siena. His main background is on linguistics and cognitive science. He has published mainly in the area of AI, Distributed AI and Multi-Agent Systems. His research interests include formal theories of delegation, trust, social emotions, social commitment, organizations and roles, collective intentions, agent-based simulation of social organizations and institutions.

Rosaria Conte is head of the Division "AI, Cognitive and Interaction
Modelling" at CNR, Italy. She teaches social psychology at the University
of Siena. Her main backgraound is on pragmatics of communication and
cognitive science. Her publications are both in the area of Multi-Agent
Systems and Agent Theory, and in agent-based simulation. Her research
interests include formal computational study of coalition formation, social
dependence, norms representation and reasoning, and the role of cognition
in the propagation of norms.
