Gilbert Peffer

Mr. Peffer is heading an effort at CIMNE to promote and advance quantitative and computational methodologies focusing particularly on financial, socio-economic and organisational problems. He has managed a number of European projects in the area of ICT simulation (eLearning, and eBusiness). Previously vice-president in the fixed-income quantitative research division at Salomon Brothers, a US investment bank (now Citigroup), he has participated extensively in scientific simulation and application / technology integration projects in the financial industry. Mr. Peffer holds a degree in aerospace engineering.

Bàrbara Llacay

Ms. Bàrbara Llacay is Assistant Professor of financial mathematics at the Department of Economic, Financial, and Actuarial Mathematics at the University of Barcelona. She is currently working on her doctoral thesis about simulation of financial markets, at the University of Barcelona. She holds a degree in mathematics from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia.
