Conrad Power
I am a researcher in the Department of Geography at Memorial University with a specialty in Geographic Information Sciences (GIS) and spatial modeling. Initially, I studied the use of GIS and fuzzy set theory for spatial interaction analysis of socio-economic issues. Currently, my research focuses on the agent based modeling of socio-economic processes within spatial environments. The emphasis is to investigate aspects of social cohesion and economic resiliency from the emergence of complex social interaction patterns from mobile spatial agents in rural socio-geographic communities.
