Stephen Younger
Stephen M. Younger is Special Advisor to the Vice Chancellor for Research and Graduate Education at the University of Hawai'i Manoa. He is also Senior Policy Scholar at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington, D.C. His research focuses on leadership, violence, and warfare in small societies, especially in indigenous Pacific island cultures, and on the use of computer simulation as an aid to understanding normative behavior. He holds a PhD in physics from the University of Maryland. His books include Endangered Species: How We Can Avoid Mass Destruction and Build a Lasting Peace.
