Warren Thorngate
Warren Thorngate is an emeritus professor of social psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Author of Judging Merit (with Robyn Dawes and Margaret Foddy), his research interests include the pathologies of contests and competitions, social consequences of individual decisions, the economics of attention, evidential statistics, and the ecology or problems and the limits of time. He has served as a visiting professor at the University of California, Carnegie Mellon University, Warsaw University, the University of Surrey, and the University of Tehran.

Jing Liu
Jing Liu received his MA in cognitive psychology at Beijing Normal University, and his PhD in social and cognitive psychology from Carleton University in 2007. His research interests include information presentation and decision making, social dilemmas and social motives. He has worked as a researcher and technical consultant in the Human Computer Interaction lab at Carleton University since 2001.

Wahida Chowdhury
Wahida Chowdhury completed her BA in psychology from Athabasca University in 2010 and is now an MA student in Institute of Cognitive Science, Carleton University 2011. She is a research assistant for Professor Warren Thorngate, assisting on projects to improve labour market information websites for Canadian job seekers and to investigate aspects of problem ecologies.
