Christophe Le Page
Dr Christophe Le Page is a modelling scientist from CIRAD, working in Montpellier (France). He is a member of the Green Research Unit, which is promoting a companion modelling approach (http://www.commod.org) for natural resources management. With a background in fish population dynamics, he has progressively specialized in building agent-based models to simulate the interplay between ecological and social dynamics in ecosystems holding renewable resources used or managed by different categories of stakeholders. He is participating in the development of the CORMAS platform (http://cormas.cirad.fr), with a special interest on spatial aspects and computer-assisted role-playing games.

Nicolas Becu
Dr Nicolas Becu is a modeling scientist from CNRS based in Paris (France). He is a member of PRODIG research unit, a team of geographers investigating the links between environment and development in northern as well as in southern countries. He develops and uses multi-agent simulations to investigate the links between social interactions and environmental management in various case studies and is carrying companion modeling approaches to bring together scientists, civil society and decision-makers. He teaches multi-agent simulations and companion modeling to Master and PhD students at University Paris 1 Panthéon-Sorbonne.

Pierre Bommel
Dr Pierre Bommel is a modelling scientist from CIRAD. As member of the Green Research Unit, he contributes to promote the Companion Modelling approach (http://www.commod.org). Through the development of CORMAS, a Framework for multi-agent models (http://cormas.cirad.fr), he has been focusing on the development and the use of Multi-Agent Systems for the simulation of renewable resource management issues. Since 2005, he is based at the University of Brasilia, developing models dealing with environmental management, such as breeding adaptation to drought in the Uruguay or as breeding and deforestation in the Amazon.

François Bousquet
Dr François Bousquet is a modelling scientist from CIRAD, working in Montpellier (France). He is a member of the Green Research Unit, which is promoting a companion modelling approach (http://www.commod.org) for natural resources management. For several years he has been focusing on the development and the use of Multi-Agent Systems for the simulation of renewable resource management issues. Through the development of CORMAS, he has taken part in many experiments dealing with simulation and environmental management, mainly in developing countries. For the last ten years he has been focusing on the participatory use of models, developing with colleagues a methodology named companion modeling.
