Warren Thorngate
Warren Thorngate is an emeritus professor of social psychology at Carleton University in Ottawa, Canada. Author of Judging Merit (with Robyn Dawes and Margaret Foddy), his research interests include the pathologies of contests and competitions, social consequences of individual decisions, the economics of attention, evidential statistics, and the ecology or problems and the limits of time. He has served as a visiting professor at the University of California, Carnegie Mellon University, Warsaw University, the University of Surrey, and the University of Tehran.
