Peer-Olaf Siebers

Peer-Olaf Siebers is a lecturer at the School of Computer Science, University of Nottingham, UK. He received his PhD from Cranfield University, UK in 2004. His research goal is to establish Object Oriented Agent Based Modelling (OO-ABM) for simulating individual and collective human behaviour in fields like Operations Research, Energy Policy, Management Science, Politics, Built Environment, and the Digital Economy. OO-ABM uses tools from Software Engineering for the design and implementation of ABMs. He is also interested in investigating the opportunities for hybrid simulation, scalability, and applying OO-ABM in Systems Biology.

Paul Davidsson

Paul Davidsson is professor of computer science at Malmö University and Blekinge Institute of Technology, both situated in Sweden. He received his PhD in computer science in 1996 from Lund University, Sweden. He is the dean of Research at the School of Technology, Malmö University, where he is developing a research programme called Information Technology for the Society. His research interests include the theory and application of agent technology, simulation, information systems, and data mining. Current application areas include traffic and transport systems, logistics and supply chain management, building automation, and district heating systems. The results of this work have been reported in more than 150 peer-reviewed scientific articles published in international journals, conference proceedings, and books. He has been member of the programme committee for more than one hundred scientific conferences and workshops.
