Shade T. Shutters
Shade Shutters is core faculty at the Center for Social Dynamics and Complexity at Arizona State University in the USA. He studies the evolutionary dynamics of collective action and rational behavior. His focus is on social systems, across the tree of life, that have no central controller and that facilitate the emergence of higher level entities. In addition he is a Senior Sustainability Scientist at the Global Institute of Sustainability and a Faculty Affiliate at ASU's Center for Policy Informatics, where his research focuses on application of computational social science to urban systems and social disruption due to climate change.

David Hales
David Hales is research fellow with the Research Group on Artificial Intelligence at The University of Szeged in Hungary. does research at the overlap between distributed computer systems and social science. He has applied agent-based modelling to evaluate and explore novel self-organising cooperation processes in both evolving populations and complex evolving networks.
