Rosaria Conte is a cognitive scientist. She is Head of the Division of AI, Cognitive and Interaction Modelling at the Institute of Psychology of the Italian National Research Council. She also teaches Social Psychology at the University of Siena, Dept. of Communication Sciences. She is active in the field of multiagent systems and social simulation. Her research fields of interest range from agent theory and architecture to multi-agent systems, and from game-theory to cultural evolution and social simulation.

Mario Paolucci is a mathematical physicist. He is a Technolgy Expert at National Statistics Institute (ISTAT), in Italy, and Research Fellow at CNR, Division "AI, Cognitive and Interaction Modelling". He teaches Data Base at the University of Rome "La Sapienza", faculty of Statistics. His research interests range from multi agent based Social Simulation to evolutionary algorithms and models. He is active in the field of agent-based social simulation.
