Andreas Pyka
Andreas Pyka studied Economics and Management Sciences at the University of Augsburg. He graduated in Economics in 1998 and spent about two years as a Post Doc in Grenoble, France participating an European research project on innovation networks. Since November 2000 he is assistant professor at the chair of Prof. Dr. Horst Hanusch at the University of Augsburg. His fields of research are Neo-Schumpeterian Economics and Evolutionary Economics with a special emphasis on numerical techniques of analysing dynamic processes of qualitative change and structural development.

Petra Ahrweiler
PD Dr. phil. Petra Ahrweiler was trained in sociology, political science and journalism. PhD 1994 in the area of science and technology studies (Free University of Berlin, Germany), Habilitation thesis delivered October 1999 at the Faculty for Sociology (University of Bielefeld, Germany). 1998-2001 member of EU-Project "Simulating Self-Organizing Innovation Networks" at IWT, University of Bielefeld, Germany. Currently working as leader of the research group "Cooperations Research" at the Centre of Media and Politics, University of Hamburg, Germany, and as managing director of the software company "Mediatorsoft GmbH".
