M. Afzal Upal

M. Afzal Upal is Director of Intelligent Agents and Multiagent Systems Lab and Assistant Professor of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science at the University of Toledo, Toledo, OH. Before joining UT, Afzal led a number of defense related research and development projects as a Senior Scientist at Information Extraction & Transport Inc. Currently, he is organizing a workshop on A New Synthesis of Cognitive Modeling and Social Simulation and editing a special issue of Computational Intelligence on Learning to Aid Reasoning.
